Lake Country Youth Baseball and Softball (LCYBS) offers recreational softball leagues for players in first through ninth grade. The program emphasizes fundamental skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and having fun. The level of play and competitiveness generally increases with each age group.
In order to be prepared and get the most out of the season, the player should bring a correctly sized glove (preferably broken in).
Other equipment is not required but recommended:
Thank you for your continued support of LCYBS Girls Club Softball and your registration for the 2020 season. As much of Wisconsin, we are in a continued holding pattern as we look at the upcoming season. As usual, we will begin to build teams and contact coaches around the last week of April. There will be no in-person coaches clinic this year at AHS, however we will look to virtual meetings and resources that will provide collaboration and encourage individual families to hone their skills in preparation of the season. With the current Safer at Home Order extended until May 26th, we will continue to provide updates as we learn new information, the priority is to ensure player safety in the wake of COVID-19. We share in the disappointment of being away from the field and our friends as we approach May and the typical start of team practices. We know the world has more pressing issues than the game of softball, but at this time we are still planning on (and hoping for) a 2020 season where we can finally hear the words “Play Ball”.
Registration for this program opens in January.
Season is played from May - July.
