Lake Country Youth Baseball and Softball (LCYBS) offers recreational softball leagues for players in first through ninth grade.  The program emphasizes fundamental skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and having fun. The level of play and competitiveness generally increases with each age group.

In order to be prepared and get the most out of the season, the player should bring a correctly sized glove (preferably broken in).

• 1/2 and 3/4 will use 11" Softballs
• 5/6 and 7/8/9 will use 12" Softballs

Other equipment is not required but recommended:

• Batting Helmet with face-mask- The league does provide 4 per team
• Correct size and weight softball bat
• Fielders Face Mask (Strongly Recommended at higher levels) 
• Cleats, especially 3/4 grades and up
• Optional- baseball pants and batting gloves
